A generation before the Dadaists, Jarry was outrageous by profession. Ubu Roi , famous by name, can now be experienced: a cruel puppet show which embodies human stupidity taken to the extremes, this production uses every imaginable electronic gimmick to represent the characters as ridiculous puppets, bustling around the omnipresent Ubu, who is himself a puppet.
